Just depends which route you go... meaning a stock Ford factory air conditioning out of a donor truck, a Ford dealer installed (used/junkyard) air conditioning unit, or one of the aftermarket choices - Vintage Air or Nostalgic Air brands. Price varies from probably $100 or less for junkyard/donor truck stuff to about $1200+ for the Vintage air kit.

Anyway you go, they don't just fall right in. There's a lot of lines, hoses, wires, and plumbing to do. But it's all do-able. Good luck.

Look at this link for my vintage air install...Vintage Air Install

Hot Rod Air has complete heat/defrost/A/C systems with Sanden compressors for $750. Personally this is the way I am going, and I wouldn't go any other way. Who would want to install a 30 year old system and hope it works. You can check them out on the web, or purchase complete kits through Summitt.
