fan?

do i have to use the stock fan on my diesel?? i was told that the fan and the water pump are ballanced together is this true??

The fan assembly is balanced to tolerance specified by the manufacturer. Taking it off will not unbalance the water pump. The mass of the water pump is so small that there would have to be something drastically wrong before it would make a noticable difference anyway. Lose the fan, just make sure you can supply enough air to keep your engine cool.

If you do much towing or heavy hauling, it is hard to beat the stock fan.

Electrics draw to much amperage when they move as much air as the stock fan does.
