Alright well it's finally about time to put some new rubber on the old 150. I'm most likely set on the Firestone Destination ATs in 285/70/17. My truck is a 4x4 and I would just like to confirm one last time that these will fit without rubbing. My truck is not leveled or lifted.
My other question is does anybody have any pictures with these size tires? I would love to get an idea of how they will fill up the wheel wells on my truck! Thanks in advance!!
They shouldn't rub. Usually don't see rubbing until around a 300 width. But, just to be sure, let the folks putting them on you'd like to confirm before leaving the store. Just make sure you go to full lock left and right...do some donuts in their parking lot. Any reputable outfit won't mind and they will also allow you to swap to a narrower tire.
Yeah, I assumed I would have to do that. Hopefully at some point in the distant future I'll be able to get a tuner. As of right now though, money is forbidding that.
I have the same size BFGs. Here's a pic:[IMG][/IMG] I'd get the Goodrichs', they'll last longer than the Firestones. These have 135,000 miles on them right now, although this is an old pic. They're almost brand new in this shot. Here's what they look like right now [IMG][/IMG]
70 series should be fine at 32.8" on average. 75 series are taller by about an inch. in my opinion 33" is the magic number for unmodified trucks. I'd stay 70 series.
I have the Firestones, please give me a call if you would like to order.

I actually had planned on ordering them from you guys when I got around to buying. It will probably be a couple weeks before I've got the money though.
One more thing I just though of, any idea how much height this will add to the truck? I'm relatively close to the top of my garage now and I'm curious as to if I'll still fit.
Mitch: I would look at the BFG's but they are a good deal more expensive than the Firestones and money is a factor.
