Engine Swap
Hey guys first time post, hoping for some help. I have a 95 f-250 4x4 XLT 351w auto with 190,000miles all original. It is getting a little bit tired and we pull trailers for our construction buisness. My dad has a 1989 f-superduty(f-450) with a 460 and auto, motor runs needs rebuilt and tanny is blown. I was wondering if i could swap them out? I mean i know the radiator and such but is just techalogically possible?

Yeah, you could do that too, if you don't feel like fooling around with it. You can find good used F-250/350's fairly cheap. I recommend the 7.3 powerstroke though in the 1995 to 2002 model years. Some of the 2003 had 7.3's in them, but that was the 1st half of the year and they are kind of hard to find. If your talking brand new, if something goes wrong and they have to work on the engine for any reason. They have to take the cab off the frame to get to the engine.
