where this tube go

I'm trying to figure out where the tube for the EGR valve goes, when it bends underneath the upper intake plenum. It's a 95 F-150 with a 302 auto. I got it running a little bit today and noticed that tube was smoking a little bit. It wasn't red or anything, but I'm thinking it may be blocked and that's the reason it's running like crap. thanks for the help

The tube connects to the lower intake, if it's smoking I bet there is a leak and that will make the motor run rough.

Where would the leak be, in the lower intake or the tube or where it goes into the intake?

Most likely the tube, it has a flex joint in the middle that is very light metal.

I appreciate it, I'm taking it to my brother-in-law at the Ford dealership on Friday. I'm going to let him check it and the vacuum. He's just hard to get it touch with
