Ok was under the truck putting in the tranny mount and motor mounts looked over and saw a 2 lines one going down the frame rail and the other hanging there turns out it went to the frame pume and its bronken off ,so can I run a high press rubber line with clamps or do I need to finnd the one that came on it (looks like it may have had a filter in that counldnt be changed)
Thanks People
Phil
Apparently it's not used or it would be leaking gas correct? Or it's not a fuel line after all.
Putting new motor and trans in it gos to the HIGH PRES fuel pump that is mounted on the drivers frame rail
It must have got broken when the motor was pulled out (so yes it will leak )Truck has not been started yet .Now back to what I had asked can I just use a high press line with hose clamps or do I have to track down the fitted line from ford.
Thanks again Phil
I would use the better quality line and hose clamps if you can get it all to work. It is high pressure compared to the old carbed systems, but it's still only 40psi.

Ive used 4 hose clamps (2 on each side) of a split in a 130psi air hose with a copper piece shoved inside and it still works about a year later..
I have also seen hose clamps work fine for years on 150psi airline. The only bad thing about rubber line is it will not last forever, so it's a maintenance item like a radiator hose. Otherwise it will probably be fine.
