Walker BTM

For the one's who have this muffler, how well do you like or don't like it. I have a 4" straight -pipe on the truck now and want to get rid of the drone, usually when going up-hill with a load. Thanks, Bill

I love mine, couldn't be happier. I can't say if it helped with EGTs or not, since I did it before I added gauges and the DP Tuner. But I can tell you there is no drone, and with the windows rolled up I noticed no increase in noise in the cab either. Outside it's a bit louder and with the windows down I can really hear the turbo singing now, but nothing obnoxious. I'd do it again, and it was super easy to clamp on. I'm a novice welder and I did a poor job tacking the OE hangers on to it, but it's held up so far too.

The Walker BTM (P/N 21470) is 3/12 inlet and outlet. You have a 4" exhaust. Something to think about when it comes to fitment.

Is the bolded part compared to the stock muffler or a straight pipe? I assume the stock muffler.

I commented to the wife the other day I couldn't hear the turbo whistle like I used to. I thought something was wrong with it. I took the tube and air filter off and started it up and then shut it down to watch the wheel, took it almost 30 seconds to stop. I then felt it, virtually no play. I know my hearing ain't what it used to be, she agreed. I hope this muffler takes care of the drone. It was ok for awhile, but now it's annoying.

I might be tempted to try it if it would take some bite out of my straight pipe.

Doesn't bother me in the cab at all but I have driven a vehicle while next to my truck going about 45-55mph and it was pretty obnovious.
