Here we go again... Code 1316, Service Engine Soon (that's all I get done) and missing. Been running SuperChip, 6637 everything else stock with 122K miles. Three K since last oil change. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like the classic under the valve cover plastic 9 pin piece junk connector/s has/have come loose. The locking tabs warp and allow the connector to separate.. You can ohm out the connector on 'top' first before pulling the covers.. the gasket are usable and fix the connector after pushing it back together. A 25 cent coin shim modified for clearance for the valve cover will keep from happening again..
Here is a recently thread on the subject.. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...ck-shakes.html
I have been having that same issue for quite some ime. I did the ohms test, popped the valve covers, connectors were fine. After all that I had a shop do a buzz test as informed to do by guys on this forum.(some scanners dont read "idm" codes. so when the buzz test was complete the guy at the shop told me that my #3 injector was not firing that it should be replaced. Thats where i'm at now. Hopefully there is a good link on here for injectors at a good rate, went to ford yesterday and was given a price of $372 for the injector and $180 for core charge. After changing my underwear I figured I'd give a link on here a shot. Good luck. Doing the ohms test is pretty simple and doesnt take up to much of your time, so start with that and check the link that was posted above it is pretty imformative.

Just curious.. are you also having the the Service Engine Soon Light on when this is happening.. ? The loose uvc connector will give the SES in most cases.. Also you should check the main wire harness that lays on top of the driver's side valve cover.. It has been know to rub and expose bare wires..
My ses light is always on. I can erase the 1316 code and drive it and the light will be off. The next time I go to start my truck it will come on and stay on till I erase the codes which really doesnt do much.
