I just perchased a 1976f250 with 140000 miles on it(realy solid straight truck),how many miles can you expect until it should be looked into(shifts good leaks a little oil around seal)? Also what transfer case is in it,and front axle? The rear axle is a 4.10 d60. thanks y,all

The front axle should be a dana 44hd. As far as the 435 goes, I don't know how many miles to expect out of it, but I do know they are next impossible to tear up. I think you should have a divorced np 205 trasfer case.
:-)
Thanks B-460! Does the 44hd stand for heavy duty? As i understand it there were 3 different front axles, this one seems to have the large hubs. Also what does the npstand for,and is it a good unit? Thanks Wick!
