Cranking longer
I bought a 2000 7.3 powerstroke with 220,000 miles on it in march. So far it's been running great and I've had very few issues with it. I've noticed recently thought that it's starting to crank longer before it fires. Once it does fire it runs fine and everything is smooth. I recently changed the oil and it was doing it both before and after the oil change. I want to say it takes between 5-10 seconds to start, whereas when I first got the truck it took maybe 3 even on a cold day. Is there something to look into or am I just being a picky ****?

Start with cleaning your battery terminals ,check and clean connection at starter ,if no change (make sure that you have the correct size batteries )have the batteries load tested make sure that they are tested separately or you will get a false reading if one is bad you need to replace them both. If batteries are good pull the starter and have it tested.
