I got to say, i've been having some fun here with this new 38R, fast spool up, power, whistle, its all good but I decided to hook up my Superchips code reader like I do every once and a while and these codes showed up. My question is, I,m assuming these codes are normal with this setup because of the increased power and air flow?? PO238 TURBO BOOST SENSOR, A CIRC HIGH INPUT.......PO475 EXHAUST PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE ERROR.........PO478 EXHAUST PRESSURE CONT. VALVE HIGH INPUT......P1211 ICP NON CONTROLABLE PRESSURE ABOVE DESIRED. The truck runs like a bear, no problems power or noise wise, I just set that SES light with no problem now without even mashing on the go pedal. Thanks for any input as always..
Hey Glen, waiting any day now for Clays OBA, thats for sure but the ICP code has me a bit concerned, we'll see what everboby else has to say, the more the merrier..
Jody does have codes tunes and they do work well. If you hadn't ordered a OBA Mike I was going to offer to send you the homemade one that I have here. All it needs is a bracket.
Maybe you should consider giving Jody a call and see if your tunes need to be tweaked due to the new turbo. Just a thought......

Isn't the P1211 code when your HPOP can't keep up with the ICP that the chip is demanding? I'm pretty sure that it is. Did you leave the EBPV unplugged? That may be the cause of those others.
So Clay is coming out with an OBA??? I will be keeping an eye out for that.
The P0238 can also be caused by loose MAP sensor wiring or a faulty sensor. The P0475 and P0478 codes can be caused by a plugged EBP sensor line or faulty sensor. I'd clear the codes and see if they keep coming back. I don't set any codes at high boost, but I do have a MAP regulator installed. I also don't have the EBPV and have a "fooler" in the EBPV solenoid plug.

Yes it is.. It will throw a check engine light, but it will go back off after about 1 minute or so. Its a normal code for chipped trucks with stock HPOP's. Jody does have tunes specific for these codes and I'm sure he would be happy to get one on there for you.. Of course the other fix is some sort of big oil/medium oil.
Sounds like an adrenaline may be in the future. I mean, you can't go pressing on the go pedal and have all those lights coming on on the dash, it could cause an unsafe situation while navigating at high speed. (you can tell the wife that one )
I was under the impression that the 1211 code is quite common? I always get it under WOT. You say its running fine right?
Yep, it runs like a bear, the SES light does go out after a minute or so..

I think you might be right on this

That I'll do, I can't remember if I had them codes before, pretty sure I didn't so i,m thinking of the increased power and boost but I will put on the OBA and report back.. Really loving this turbo...

If you haven't ordered it then I can send it to you. I can always make another one.

My SES light does go back out SuperDoodie, I'll keep an eye on it for my next move, thanks..
