shifter problem
replaced the tired old 351m/c6 with a 302/c6 over the weekend. the shifter arm on the trans appears to be the same on both trans, but the arm that runs from the column to the shifter arm now needs more length. anyone run into this before it has me scratching my head. could the distance between the block mating surface and the trans shifter location be different between the large vs small bellhouse. i marked the location on the column arm with the idea that i would only need to put it back in the original location. that doesnt seem to be the case.
