What Fluid

OK I got my trans back from the shop yesterday and need to put fluid in it but Ford could not tell me how much was needed and was not sure of what type to use. Was hoping someone could help me out I have a pre march 99 F250 with the ZF 6speed Manual, anything will be helpful, Thank You

I believe the correct fluid is ATF rated MERCON V but someone else may correct me. Not sure of the quanitiy. If you have a owners manual it will list type/amount.

The fluid to use is mercon/dexron III. You will need approximately 6 quarts to fill the transmission. Dan.
