As you guys might or moght not know I have been working on a 79 F100. I put a 91 302 in it and got that all straighten out, and I finally got my grille swap done. I put a 73-77 grille shell in with 76-77 grille inserts. Changed the front bumper out also. Nothing wrong with a 78-79 grille but I just wanted the older look. I'll try and post some pics of mu progress in a day or so. I haven't put pics up for a while. Thanks to all the guys with the help and info on this.

Yeah, most people are really excited about one or the other. My dad only likes the 78/79. I'm more partial to the 73-75. Reminds me of the Charger or the Challenger.
I was thinking of trying to make an extra grille that would look similar to the early Bronco, or the '72 Mach 1, but I think it looks just fine the way Ford made it.
I like the older look to. I really hated to take out a perfect grille shell b/c it fit so good and lined up on the fenders good to. But my 73-77 grille shell did also. I had to clean up the grille inserts alot and paint the black around the headlights but it turned out great. I just have to get my headlights adjusted a bit, but other than that it looks great.
