Cab firewall differences

Cab firewall differences
Is there a difference in the firewall with an A/C cab and non A/C cab. I'm pondering the possibility of finding a replacement cab rather than fooling with replacing floor and cab supports. Thanks

I went out to look at a 78 F100 yesterday. The man told me on the phone that the truck had A/C, but he did not know if it worked. I drove an hour to get there to find out that the A/C did not work because it was not an A/C optioned truck (I should have asked him for gas money at that point). That little factoid reminded me that I also forgot about airvent holes not being in the dash of non-A/C cabs. Reminds me of the time that I once drove 2 hours to look at a 67 Cougar that the man told me had no rust and when I got there it had torque boxed hovering in mid air and everything in the trunk was laying on the ground having exited where the gas tank had previously been located.

It's really not a big deal to cut the hole and flange the lip around it on a non- a/c cab if you have the a/c parts to swap into it. I've done it several times at my body shop during restorations of these trucks. I have a cardboard template for the hole, I would be happy to send a copy of it to anyone doing this swap.
