Baked on road grime

Has anyone disconnected their heated mirrors and ran them through one of the upfitter switches. I hate the way they bake on the road grime. Up here in the northwest it rains alot and the mirrors get hammered. Any help on this would be great thanks.

I put mine on a timer system. 5 minutes at a time, or I can turn them on continuously with the 3-way rocker switch. It is a little complicated, but if you are interested, I can explain it for you.

i have read of another wiring them to the uplifter switches, cant find how they did it as i would like to do the same. i will keep looking and post if i find.
