Transmission temp sender...

Ive done a few quick searches and cant find the picture Im looking for. I think Im going to check dieselsite or dieselmanor for the pic.

Big question....
Teflon tape or teflon paste or neither on the threads on the sender?!

I installed mine dry, then ended up with a slow leak so I pulled it back out and taped it. It depends though- is your sender a single wire that grounds through the sensor, or a two wire sender? If its two wire- tape it up. If it's a single wire sender, taping it might not let it ground properly.

No tape or paste on mine. The tape will keep it from getting a ground and reading correctly.

Its a single wire...what if I do what dieselmanor suggests in this tech article...I dont want it to slowly leak on me!

I used 1 wrap of teflon tape on mine with no problems. The tape will go to the inside of the threads and the outside will make contact for the ground.
