Here's a link to another subscription service that I've found to be even better than my copy of the Service Manual because it contains better diagrams, search features, TSB's, manhour estimates for jobs (so I can multiply by 2 for me, or at least check the dealer if I have to get them to do the work), etc.

They are also a site sponsor, and if you seel your vehicle, you can transfer the service to another vehicle.

The links don't work any more, IIRC. Also, there were some folks who got CD copies of the Service Manuals from a seller on eBay (I'm one of them), but I haven't seen anyone referring to that recently, either, and don't know if they're even available anymore. The CD's are OK, but are awkward to use and sometimes not detailed enough for my non-Ford-tech brain, and have actually found that service from AllDataDIY to be much more akin to what I can really make use of.

From everything I've seen when diagnosing and looking for procedures, the AllData site seems to mimic the Service manuals very closely, but they also provide a much improved and more intuitive approach to finding information and seem to offer a few additional resources that I don;t have on my Service Manual CD. Could be because I'm a paying subscriber. I sure HOPE that my subscription fees would get something extra!!

For anyone interested in AllData I sent them the following question.

If I purchase a 1 year subsription and decide to upgrade to a 5 year will I get credit for the 1 year toward the 5 year. If so is there a time window from the start of the 1 year.

Thanks in advance,

Robin
