Thanks, but I won't be moving back to Oregon just yet after I get back. I'll still have a lil under 3 years in my enlistment left over by the time I get back since I signed on for 6 years. I will be coming home on leave though, I go to Oregon at least 2 times a year on leave.
The nice thing about this deployment is it'll be hunting season when I get back and it's funding a 408w build-up with a ZF-5 and MAF.
So how many of ya'll are from eastern Oregon? I'm from Long Creek, it's about 40mi N of John Day and 90mi S of Pendelton.
Another Bro from close to home, toooo cool! I know Long Creek well, I've got mining claims up by Granite, and have hunted and fished that area for over 40 years............I now live outside Condon so I'm not to far away from Long Creek. Gotta love huntin in The Blues! Let us know when you get back and we'll see if we can put together a quick GTG and welcome ya back in proper Eastern Oregon style. With Guns, Ford Trucks, and the Blue Mountains!

Good to know, Honestly I try to never go west unless I have too. No offense to anyone, but there's too many tree huggers over there.

Sounds good, but you forgot one thing. I just turned 21 last month and I still have to wait 4 more months till I can buy my own beer. So I'll have to bring a DD and some nice cheap Keystone Light. I'll try to make it, but I tend to work on a friends ranch when I come home. Don't be alarmed if ya see a pistol on my hip, I open carry. Sadly I wouldn't be able to bring a ford truck though, my '79 is outta commission and our '93 7.3L has close to 400k miles and none of the gauges work anymore so it's just used for hunting and firewood hauling.
Yea I know Mt. vernon well, though I usually just pass through onto John Day. Though in March of last year I had to take my truck into the shop there left of the intersection(forgot what it's called.)
I was putting a new clutch and LT headers on in the gravel at home. It was my first time with a Hydraulic clutch and I broke the connection on the slave cylinder inside the bellhousing. I got short on leave time and ended up driving it the 30mi over there with no clutch(not working anyways) and wide open headers. Sure am glad I didn't run into any staters.
Nah, Air Force. Yet I did my AFSC/MOS training on an army base. I did some more pre-deployment training with the army up in Ft. Dix for this trip, and right now I'm currently deployed with the Army.
