Muffler choice for a 2.3

Advance auto parts carries a replacement for about $20 that is universal enough to handle a V-8 Maverick, in addition to the 2.3. I figured that it certainly could handle 1/2 the cubic inches, and it does. Seems to have more torque. I cut the exhaust and tail pipes as close to the old muffler as possible, and it was a slide in replacement. Just needed 2 clamps.

None? Just depends on your taste. I bought a cheap POS at Mills Fleet Farm for about $15, and it's lasted a couple years. Definitely cheap though! Are you expecting more performance, louder, or just something to last longer?

Of course any additional performance would be appreciated with this little mill, don't look for much "rumble" from this, I feel any "loud" less than the rumble of a nice v-8 just does not sound right to me.
Quiet would be just fine, it will beat the blabber coming out of the busted muffler on it now. "If you did not figure this is my sons truck".

One of the best out there, both in terms of quality and value, and being quiet is our WickedFlow line. They are built to withstand hardcore racing, and the quality of the materials and construction makes them quieter than many other similar mufflers. And they cost less than similar products. Plus they flow better than just about anything else out there.
