Does anyone have a decent vacuum hose routing guide for a 1977 F250 AT 2WD
My 200 dollar project is almost ready to run need a little help or a really good picture.
If that thing is a 460 I have the original color-coded factory diagram that I saved from my old smog station days. I would be happy to send you a jpg of it if you need it. I will email it because I don’t want to use up space here. Let me know if I can help.
Sorry
No it is not the original engine, The truck had no engine and was owned by a propane company. The engine came from a 1977 F150 2wd AT, I did not realize there were different vacuum setups other than 49 state and California.I am trying to get it together to pass Missouri safety inspection (no emission in my county, all the visual emission pieces have to be in place)and I thank you for your time trying to help me work this out.
I hate vacuum lines. The more you have the more problems you have. I had a 77 with a 400. I just took off all the emissions crap and ended up with the Vacuum advance, pcv, the line to the tranny (auto), and the break booster. I then converted the choke to a manual choke. That got rid of even more vacuum lines. It ran better than ever and got even better gas mileage. But then I had to get rid of the truck.

I'm not trying to jump on your case, but this is preaching false information that's only going to lead others to trouble. Maybe this worked for you, but 9 times out of 10 it causes problems. Claims like this are why people on here decide to rip out their EGR system among other emissions controls, which creates more work for the rest of us when people come to the board with problems like dieseling and spark knock.
People, don't do it. Ford engineers wouldn't add such a large cost to these vehicles if these parts weren't completely unnecessary as so many of you assume.
Does anyone have a vacuum diagram for a '79 F250 400 4x4? I just bought this thing and the hoses are a complete mess. No joke, there are literally 6-8 vacuum hoses just flopping around not attached to anything. I think two of them might be from when I replaced the stock air cleaner with an Edelbrock one. The stock air cleaner had a few vacuum lines and I don't think this Edelbrock needs any.
