400 worth?

You can find so called "ran good when pulled" 400s around here on craigslist for about $200 most of the time. If you can sell it while its still in the truck so people can here it run and go for a ride you can probably get more than that.

400 popularity seems to be catching on a little bit. A few years ago when I got mine, I remember seeing quite a few posts on here reading along the lines of, "Someone wants to give me a 400, should I take it?" Mine was free if I hauled it off. But this was the hey-days of 2005

I have 3. Bought the last two, first I gave $100, ssecond is a running engine, with an FMX tranny with a newer tailshaft on traanny. Guy wanted $250 for all. Actually swapped him a cordless drill, and a chinese 100watt generator that leaked fuel....

I think it will be worth a little more mabey $400 or $500 with a test drive and assuming it runs good and every thing. Thats what I meant by "ran when pulled" to me that is the same as needs rebuilt. It might take a while until you find some one that needs one but I really feel like around here with a test drive $500 could happen.
