The center bearing on my two piece driveshaft ('73 F-100) has a loose rubber cushion, causing my driveshaft to shake. I've done a lot of mechanics in my time, but never worked on one of these. What's necessary to swap out that rubber? Or do I have to swap out the whole support for a new one? Anybody have a diagram? The books don't make it very clear. Thanks, Polkat.
The rubber is part of the bearing assembly. The local parts stores should have one for about $15. They may even press the new bearing on for you.
