Road Trip

Hi All,

I am taking a road trip this week to visit family and was wondering what changes (if any) I should make to my tuner.

I have the SCT Livewire and run Innovative's Agressive Street Program in my 04 PSD as an every day tune. Should I set everything back to factory or is this tune OK for long highway driving?

Th reason I am asking is because I noticed that she runs at slightly higher RPM on the highway since programming this tune.

As a side note, I also have my EGR disconnected until I can afford to purchase a full delete kit. Should I plug that @!#$%^& back in?

Without knowing much, right off the bat, I would say more then likely you'll be alright. If it's really hot and your really ******* the truck and going really fast, but your EGTs are normal(which they can be even going fast depending on terrain), your ECT and EOT might actually be getting a little hot.

I would set your Livewire to monitor those temps as well as tranny temp(if auto) and EGTs for a long trip.

Hotter tunes can do that depending on gearing as well.

I see no reason based on this post why you would need to put it back in.

No problem. Gauges and monitoring vitals of the engine I could go on and on about. I'm just strange that way.
