Maybe some sort of transformer to bump up the voltage, say 12 to 14,16 volts?
Two blowers, one for heat, one for A/C .Ya right!!! One is bad enough to replace!!
I have taken it to Arkansas and back, the Arizona desert and back, up and down the mountain where I live to the beach , up north, etc., etc. That's pretty much all I used the truck for. Now, once I get the travel trailer I'm working on in shape (brakes and suspension) Burt will be towing ... So in answer to your question, I guess the farthest is about a 3,000 mile trip (8.5MPG!)
I second that Dak, it is a nice looking truck. My truck has been through nearly every state west of the Mississippi River and several provinces in Canada several times. Old Blue has nearly 300k on it and I would still go anywhere in it. We are heading up to Oregon this summer and I have no doubts that we will get there without any problems. Thanks for straightening out the dealer/factory air situation. Your demo proves my point.
P.S. We lived on Crest Forest Drive in Crestline, just past Paivika Road for 30 years. Got to old to put up with the fog and snow. My son still lives in the family home up there.
Some people also confuse the factory air for the dealer air.
The TWO dealer A/C's are both in-dash units, but the controls are completely separate from the heater unit.
Some people are confused inre to dealer installed A/C.
Why?
Because...there are TWO different dealer installed A/C's: Economy & Deluxe.
This ^ ^ is the Economy version.
The Deluxe version's bezel covers the entire right side of the dash including the glove box.
When the Deluxe version is present, there is a glove box hung under the dash.

1973/79 F100/350: There are three different A/C blower motors:
D7TZ19805A .. Blower Motor (Motorcraft MM368)
Use with factory installed integral A/C or Hi/Low Vent / D7TZ-19805-A replaced: D3TZ-19805-A & D3TZ-19805-B.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- D2AZ19805A .. Blower Motor (Motorcraft MM306)
Use with dealer installed DELUXE A/C.
------------------------------------ D4TZ19805A .. Blower Motor (Motorcraft MM332)
Use with dealer installed ECONOMY A/C (no hang-on glove box).
-------------------------------------------------------------- E2FZ18527A .. Heater Blower Motor only (Motorcraft MM414)
Thanks for that Bill! I had no idea there were 2. Guess I'm glad mine is the economy one though. I don't think I would like the glove box hanging under the dash... I would like to see a picture of the deluxe one though.
Dak
I must have had the super economy module because that thing wouldn’t cool worth a darn. I took it to three different A/C shops. The compressor was changed a couple of times as well as the drier, hoses, expansion valve, etc. The vents were disassembled and cleaned. Still not enough air to cool you off if you stuck your face right in front of the vent. I retrieved the old blower from the throwaway pile and checked it for any of the numbers you mentioned but couldn’t find any Ford numbers on it.
I live in Yuma in the winter and Hesperia during the summer, so I really need a working A/C. That is why I opted for an under dash unit and a modern compressor. The under dash unit, except that it takes up a lot of cab space, works great. The only problem is trying to figure a way to turn the darn blower down lower on low speed. It blows so much air that you can’t turn it up to medium or high. I bypassed the thermo and turned the thing on just too see how cold it would get, but backed it off when the vent temps got below to 30 degrees, so it really works.
My truck had a lot of leaks around the joints of the ducts. The central vent had holes in it. I taped them up with alum. foil tape and put new foam seals at the base of the main plenum. This about doubled my air output.
I have toyed with the idea of adding an additional fan. they make a 12v fan for a boat, inboard outboard engine compartment ventilation, that is about 3" in diameter and fits inside the duct. You cut the duct in half, slide each end over the fan inlet and outlet and hose clamp it. I haven't measured the A/C duct to see if it will match up, but I think it may be close. I know they make these boat fans in a couple of sizes and they move a lot of air. Just a possibility.
