ok i have read somewhere in here that someone used a divorced transfercase because they got a 2wd tranny, a guy gave me a 2wd tranny zf 5spd, and i want to put it into my 1985 f-250 4wd, unless i can find the peices to convert it to a 4wd tranny, i was wondering if anyone could give me information on how about putting it in with a divorced t-case, and pics if someone has it in their truck. thanks ahead of time for all information you people can get to me. You should be able to run it like any other divorced tcase. You will need a seperate crossmember for your tcase and a slipshaft type drive shaft made up to go between your tranny and tcase. Make sure you line up your tcase and tranny so the shaft will run straight as possible. My brother had a slipshaft made up for his truck and it cost him $300 for a driveshaft about 8-10" long. Ouch.
