First I'd say a '98 F150 with the 4.6L with that many miles and those options wouldn't sell that high. But generally Dodge's sell cheaper because they were cheaper to begin with, i.e. new.
Wow, really? Are you sure? It does have 106k miles on it ya know.. Ive seen serval trucks that were 95-2000 that had 100-150k miles on them selling easily for 4k and some all the way up to 6.5k and they were actually selling. There is a 2002 chevy 1500 4wd w/ 63k miles that sold for 7.5k and that according to my mechanic was a great deal, and its pretty damn hard to get that nice of a truck for that price.
Cheap? It will never sell for that much money today. $2500 truck in today's economy, tops.
Agreed. It's a short bed truck with a good bit of miles on her. The trannies from that era are prone to premature failure as well, based on many that I've seen and friends that have had them as well.

In my opinion thats WAY overpriced.
Maybe used trucks just sell at higher prices in your area, i am not sure.
I would give them maybe $5,200 to $5,300 US dollars for that truck if it was in GOOD cond.
About a year ago my uncle was looking for a new to him used 3/4 ton trucks. He wanted diesel since he is a trucker. He owned fords, but was looking at Dodges as well because of the Cummins diesel. But he said when he was looking, he could not find any Fords with less than 100,000 miles (except for the POS 6.0 diesels), but could find dodges with around 25,000 to 35,000 all over. Of course me being the die hard Ford Truck guy said thats because all the Dodge owners got smart and got rid of the Dodge and bought a Ford, because they are real trucks.
But seriously, look at a Ford (or Chebbie) and compare it to a Dodge. Around here, most construction companies run either a Ford or Chebbie (GMC) truck. No Dodges. Mainly because they are built cheap. They cannot handle the abuse that the Fords, Chevies and GMC can take. IMO the last good truck Dodge built was the old Power Wagons. After that they went cheap while Ford and GM tried to stay true to what a truck should be.

Wow, it must be the differences then. That truck was a one person owner by some older folks who had litterally taken EXTREMLEY good care of it. It looked like a new truck. On kbb it retailed at 10500.00

Thank you. I have been hearing stuff very similliar to this from quite a bit of people so there must be some truth to it lol. I guess I will just keep looking around more at fords and chevys, but if something were to pop up and it was something i couldnt pass up with a dodge then idk.. I just really like the body style of the rams. Besides that I could give to ****s less about them.

Part of it is that new trucks are so heavily rebated now, and the economy is down, its crushed used vehicle prices.
When I was going to sell my 2007 F150 full load crewcab 4x4, i watched the price drop literally by the day.
blackbook price was already about 25% too high by the time the book was going into print.
Its a buyers market, and used truck prices are in the crapper.
I know a guy selling a fully loaded 2006 GMC, he is hoping to get just $7,500 for it....and knows he may have to come down even more.
