Sloppy T-Case
I just pulled the front driveshaft off of my '02 F150 FX4 to replace a u-joint. While I was working, I noticed that the output shaft from the transfer case to the front axle has a considerable amount of slop in it (between 1/8th and 1/4 turn). Is this normal? If not, what kind of repair am I looking at?

Some free play is normal it is just a chain and like all chains they do stretch I wouldn't worry until you hear the chain hitting the case.... Very noticable noise.. Or replace the chain. Up to you....
