King Pin Assembly - Question !

Hello Folks,

first i must say that my english is not the best, but i try to explain as best as i can.

today I tryed to assembly my front axle with DJM Beams, DJM Shocks and MP Power Disc Brake Conversion Kit.

I bought the parts 2 years ago for my 1966 F100 and now the frame is finished to install the axle parts.

My question is:

1) The king pin bolt will be fixed by a pin trough the axle.
The original axle has a hole wich is faced with the greater hole (for the washer & nut) forward.
The DJM Beam has this greater hole faced backwards
What can i do now ?

2) Betwen the axle and the spindle comes a bearing. The shop manual says that there must be installed an O-ring on top of the bearing.
But there is no place for it ! Must there be an O-ring ?

I hope that someone can help me

Thanks

Carsten

Silly question but are the sides matched when looking at front of beams? If the pinch bolts don't interfere w/spindle swing ,I would think it should be ok. Drum brakes models only. Using these beams you will need to reverse the bolts that hold the tie rod arm to spindle. This will give more clearance for the swing of the spindle. How loose do your kingpins fit these beams compared to your old beams?. I thought the fit could have been alot better. Doesn't o-ring fit in champher on top of bearing? My memory fails me the older I get.

Are you sure you bought the correct king pin kit?

1965 F100/250 king pins are 1965 ONLY.

1966/70 F100/250 king pins are different.

1971/72 F100/250 may be different than 1966/70, they may not be...it depends on the I-beam ID number.
