05 F250 electrical problem
Hi, i have a 2005 F250 6.0 King Ranch w/35k miles, The power windows, the map lights and the radio dont work. i looked at the fuses and relays and they all look good. the radio will display the clock and i can edject and load CDs but wont play. please help. Thanks

Have you tried swapping the fuses just to test it out? Sometimes the fuse looks good but is blown in a spot that is hard to see. As for the relays, you cant tell a relay is good by looking at it. You would need to hear it click to confirm it's working and even then you can't be 100% sure unless you are actually testing it. Swap them out as well and see what happens.
If the fuses and relays are all good. Then my next guess would be the GEM. I think that's what controls when the power is supplied to the windows and radio.

I have swapped the fueses and relays, no good, i was thinking gem module but was hoping someone else has had the same problem and new forsure before i spend alot of money on a gem module that i might not need.

Do you have power at fuse 42 and circuit breaker 601 (both in the dash fuse panel)? If not, it could be the accessory delay relay (also in the dash fuse panel). You should probably do a bit of tracing before you start throwing expensive parts at it. All of these items are fed by that relay. The battery saver relay is the other option I see, which looks like it might be in the GEM???

ok i should have checked the fuses better. #41 was blown but it is marked instrument cluster (in the manual) and everything in my cluster was working fine. had it been marked ins cluster/windows/radio/map lights that would have made sence. that would have been to easy. anyway Thanks for all of your help !!!
