oxygen sensor
01 excurision, v10, getting a code po141, was told it is bank 1, sensor 2. anyone know where this sensor is? also is there a big difference between the motorcraft sensors and the less expensive brands?

I don't know which side is bank 1 or 2, but I replaced both at the same time last summer/fall. I don't recall what brand I went with but they were not motorcraft. Very easy to replace, with the proper oxy sensor socket. (they are only a few dollars) The hardest part was to reach up and unplug the connector on the passenger side.(because you want to do them when the engine is warm, so be carefull not to burn yourself. I ended up wrapping a rag around the arm, and still got caught burning a little) Most parts guys, and even the dealer tried to tell me there are 4 sensors, but there are only 2. If you climb under you will see. OBDII need 4, two before and 2 after cat, but the excursions only got 2.(before cats, on the down pipes). Hopefully this helps out.
