Vaccum bleeding brakes

I tried to use a hand vaccum pump, the Mighty Vac I believe, to bleed the brakes on my '84 F-150. Came with a bunch of fittings and directions to bleed the brakes. Got fluid coming out of the bleeders, but I still had to do it the old fashioned way to get all the air out. Had to do it on my dad's dodge truck too. Any guys ever used this or something like it? had any luck?

A couple of years ago I bought one thinking it would make one man bleeding easy. Same as you I had to go back to two man conventional bleeding. I never figured out why it wouldn`t work.
I`ve often thought of making a pressure bleeder but never got around to it.

I've been using the Mighty Vac for a long time. Handy tool. But you do still have to finish bleeding the old fashioned way. I found you could use it with better results on smaller vehicles.

I tried the mighty vac. and the pump would not suck after it being used and put away. Even after cleaning. Need to be able to do one man bleeding so baught a pressurizer for the master cyl. and it works great..
