if it wasnt I would have the air compressor out so I could get a bolt out that id holding in the driversside seat belt buckle. That is the only thing left holding the nasty carpet in.

Those are a pain in the rear to get out sometimes..
I have the right size torx bit but it doesnt want to come out. I have been soaking it with some wd-40 to help persuade it to come out. I figure it hasnt been touched since it was put in in 94.

Well hopefully the soaking will help you get it out when you finally get the chance to do it..
The bolt hasnt stripped but the torx bit has started to. It just has to last long enought to take the bolt out.
Does the bolt come out the bottom of the cab?? If it does I would try heating it with a torch for a bit.. I know you can't try it from the inside without burning the carpet..
Try PB Blaster instead of WD-40. Much better at loosening bolts and such.
If it still won't come loose soak it in a product called Fluid Film. Let it sit for a while (several weeks) with the product on. It should come out with no problem then.

Don the bolt is from the inside. It is a pain to get to because I cant take the drivers side seat base out.

Pete I would butI need to get it on the road in a hurry so I can work on the next project. That bolt is the last thing I need to do to get the carpet completly out and then I can cut out some floor pan to replace that.
