Trailer lights

OK I'm Stumped. I have a brand new utility trailer ready to go and tried the lights. Everything works great except the trailer running lights for at night. I checked most of the fuses and everything looks ok. I have no power at either plug for parking lights but all else works fine so it's definately the truck and not the trailer. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Truck is an '05 250SD 6.0 diesel totally stock. What can it be? I have checked the "Trailer Tow Park Lamps" fuse. Thanks in advance.

Should be fuse #38, so make sure you check it with a continuity tester. I don't see any relay or other fuse, so if that's not it the next step would be to see if the wire is hot before the plug. It might just be corroded in the back side of the plug.

If the wire leading to the front is dead, then I don't know what else to suggest. Maybe make sure your auto-lamps are turned on and the truck is running.

The schematic shows a relay, quote "Central Junction Box (CJB)(behind lower left side of dash)". The relay is called "Parking Lamp Trailer Tow Relay".

Also check fuse #28 which feeds that relay.
