O2 wires.

Hey guys. How will my 5.0 run with the O2 sensors unplugged? I just found out today changing the oil that one of the O2's all 3 wires are chewed threw by the connector ... I know i can spice them im sure.

But i was wonder about the driveabilty of the truck, I still haven't been able to re-run the codes since the list time i tried it but im sure that's on of them popping up. My neighbor says i can just unplug them all together but the computer will always throw codes...?

Thanks all

I am no expert but as I understand it the computer will adjust itself to operate without the sensor, however you may loose MPG. And the computer will keep turning the CEL on. Why not just splice the wire?

The system absolutely needs the O2 sensors connected to function correctly, they are the only feedback it has. Without them milage will decrease and engine wear and oil consumption will increase.
