Tailgate issues
Hey guys whats up? Well I have a project on my hands. Ever since I've owned my truck the tailgate has been screwed all up. I don't really care to get a new one because I'm 16 and a 200 tailgate is not on the to buy list :lol:. Anywyas I want to know if anyone has made their own tailgate, if so I want pics. I plan on doing something real simple, nothing elaborate. Just Flat then blend into a rear valance that I wanna try to do as well.

Tailgates need to be strong because of the load placed on them. Those $200 tailgates are junk; I've heard stories of some foreign-made tailgates bending just from being sat on. Honestly, I think the most practical route would be to find a tailgate in a junkyard. From my experience, a decent tailgate for a driver isn't too hard to come by. You could also put on an air-gate, if that's your thing. I always thought they looked kind of cool; unfortunately they're not very practical.

I've thought about it just so I can put stuff back there and have something to catch it if it wants to go the opposite way the truck is.
