alright i got the new vss on the diferential and the speedo is still dead Im thinking that its a loose wire under the dash somewhere. Any one know what wire it would be, were it is, what looks like, anything. Its a 1993 f150 xlt. thanks for any help.

 

you might try to do a search on this subject-I have seen a few posts on here about the speedo it self going out

 

The VSS wires run from the rear end sensor to the dash area and the ABS plugs in to them in parallel. The PSOM also plugs into the VSS wiring.

You have checked the fuses, if not check them first.

Unplug you ABS module and see if the speedometer starts working again.
