Bilstein shocks

I have a 97 F250 and need to replace the shocks. Anyone have any comments on Bilstein shocks, specifically the model F4-B46-1617-H0, front, and F4-B46-1618-H0 for the rear. I'm towing a 30' RV. Thanks.

im not sure about those numbers spacifiacally, but id say the best (in my opinon) would be KYB, they have a much stiffer ride, so it just depends on your needs, ive seen many cut aways of kyb and other shocks, and kyb appears to be built nicer, but thats my opinion

Really depends on how hard your runnin your truck, off road chews shocks up quicker than anything, personally I like a firmer ride so I change em out usually every 2-3 years of service.... If you go to the Gabriel or Monroe sites and write down what stock numbers fit your rig and then go to Ebay and type that in you can find some pretty unbelieveable deals! I got some for the wifes Astro Van earlier this year for 99 cents!! shipping was $9 but heck It was a heck of a lot cheaper than my local NAPA guy.. Just got some XT-60's for the rear of my 96 for next to nuthin and so far so good I know these ain't Bilsteins etc... but they do the job... jmho
