Drops to idol
Once again we're heading back from opening day fishing towing our 5th wheel and while heading up Snoqualme Pass three times the truck dropped to an idol and we lost all throttle response for several seconds? It happened a 4th time while going down the other side? After that the trip home was fine. A few years ago I replaced the Cam Sensor because of the same problem. After that it would still do the same dropping to an idol every now and then. I'm afraid that one of these days it's going to happen when I have no chance of getting out of the way of other vehicular's. What else other than the CPS could be causing this? The truck will celebrate turning it's first 100,000 miles in another 400 miles. Pretty low mileage and not abused truck. I took it to a Ford dealer asking about the same problem a while back and they came up with nothing? Can you help? Thanks

Thank's for the input. I found a lot of parts through Amazon at some pretty good discounts. Order for spare part a CPS and for repacement a TPS. I'm unable to locate a Idle Validation Switch. I also checked codes after my experience and there were no codes showing? I guess that would make life just to easy. Once again thanks for the help.
