Brake issue

I have had this happen twice but never in a row. When I go to brake there is no brake. As soon as I press on the pedal it goes down halfway and then you can feel the abs start pulsating. when you do stop and hit the brake again it's fine. Any ideas? 05 F250 FX4.

Brake fluid low? Master cylinder failing?

It might be rain, but (You have a v10?) you have a vacuum booster for power brakes and hydraulic brakes. NO electrical I see here.

after making sure u have brake fluid, i'd maybe look into teh ABS system getting wet... perhaps its somehow thinking the brakes are locked so its releasing brake pressure internally..

but that still wouldnt explain teh lack of brake pedal...

have u confirmed u dont have a brake line leak ??? maybe a small pinhole is forming and ur slowly losing fluid !

No leaks, and it's a 5.4 V8. The V10 avatar is from my old X. It also has the adjustable pedals too so the system's electronic right?

Electronic, right?

WRONG.

As other's have stated, make sure your brake fluid is OK, then check the master cylinder. If the fluid is low, fill it up, then check for leaks. If you are not comfortable doing this, have a knowledgeable person assist you.

Do not drive the truck with faulty brakes!! The life you save may be your own, or mine.
