1991 F150 update thread
I posted a few months ago about lifting my truck with a 4'' stage 2 Dick Cepek lift. Well I managed to score some free bilstien 5150s for the front, After buying the pin mounts, and relocating the lower mounting point to compensate for the longer mounting lenght of the shocks it rides great. I used stock 1989 F250 rear leaves in an attempt to kill the axle wrap, and the stock pack was broken on the driver side anyways. I went with a SKY mfg shackle flip to provide rear height, doing so I ditched all blocks on the rear end. No axle wrap, but the F250 springs do Not flex as good as the half ton springs did, and they sure dont like bumps that both tires hit at the same time. Ride on the freeway is good, except when crossing bridges when both back tires take the hit at the same time. Off road it a different story, it is so smooth is is kinda scary how fast you can go on rutted roads. I still have a few issues to work out but here are some pictures, they are taken with my phone so the quality isnt great.
