Ford is the first brand of vehicle to ever leave me stranded. I was driving home from the gym and noticed I wasn't charging turned the radio off turned the dimmer all the way down but no use it stayed running long enough to get home but it isn't going to start tomarow won't even turn the engine over. Apperrantly it didn't take too kindly to me turning the timming down as the alternator died and it has a big fule leak in the valley some where but its too dark to tell I hope I just bumped a return tee. guess I'm walking 3 miles to work tomarow.
Your not stranded yet!!!!!!. Mine has yet to leave me stranded, I've had to rig her several times to get her home, drove home with no brakes, and even once drove and I could only make right turns (that was fun) cuz the steering box cracked something inside.
same her the panzer did the same thing to me think what would ted nugget do lol i say ur sig just chager ur batts and hop for the best check ur return lines and the pazer stop charginf and it was at night and the head light dieds and radio to but it didnt stop runing
Just go pop a few hoods and "borrow" a couple batteries from your neighbors and you'll be just fine, and come on, so what if she leaks diesel, I think of it as an endless smell good thingy.
I have no way to charge the batteries and it wont start thats stranded in my book. I guess I'll walk to work tomarow and get an alternator delived then cary it and some tools home change it and try to find some one to give me a jump.
The leak doesn't bug me as much as the part where i put so much blood sweat and tears into getting it running again and it thanks me by doing a chevy impersonation.
well come to my word i put 5780 in to my panzer and then another 1500 and i did all the work my self and dont question my work george i have all the sevcrive maunel and i read them cover to cover countless times
But you can't read Joe do the manuals have step by step pictures? Well I got it running good but now it gushes fule the alternator died and it has a small leak from the top of the water pump.
Well I guess I spoke too soon I decided to give it a chance to rediem its self and went out hit the key this morning it barely cranked but when it finaly made it to the third compression stroke it fired right up, which is strange since evry one says these motors dont like to start if they are cranking slow. I checked it out after work and replaced the alternator bad so 170 bucks later and its charging again. but on a sadder note i think the housing on my IP is craked causing my fule leak so I'm going to have to pull all the guts out and stuff them in the housing of the junk 6.9 pump I have.
