What I could find of the axle code, it looks like a 4.30L. Is that correct?

I am surprised that it has such low gears. My other F250 has 3.55L behind the 6.9 diesel and most of the other F250 Superduties that I looked at had 3.73.

Is it a rarity to find one with a V10 that has such low gears?

 

No, not really. Most I've seen had the 3.73s or the 4.10s. 4.30 happens now and then too. It really mostly goes by what sort of build it is. Is yours a dually or single?

 

It is a single wheel rearend. I am just surprised that it has the 4.30 gears.

I am going to try and get a build sheet for it today and see what all I can find.
