i had a Ford taurus that would randomly shutdown because of a aftermarket alarm..removed the alarm car never shutdown again..
wife was glad to see that alrm gone let me tell you.. she refused to drive the car for awhile till i finaly narrowed it down to the alarm cuz the car would shutdown in the worst possible places (such as driving thou a busy tunnel)..yikes..
i never did find out why the alarm was the source of the problem but the techs at work told me its actualy quite common for aftermarket alarms with a starter kill mode to trip the switch while driving..
GL with urs, wether its the cause or not i cant say...but all i know is after taknig mine outa the car i never had a shutdown again...and the alarm removal was all i did..
I have a 2006 Ford F250 XLT (5.4L) Super Cab with 95,000 miles. This happen to me twice. Once in December and the second time a few days ago. I turn on my truck again and everything is fine.
I do not have alarm system on my truck. What could cause this?
