8.8 Rear end's strength
Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds

I dont think its a case of the splines and the gears themsleves I think its the bearings. the bearings are the only defense in keeping moving shafts from hitting the casing. if you slam 500 hp against a bearing thats weak it will fail causing it to move and everything else goes with it. If you upgrade the bearing say to a stronger one I think you can run anything. But the question of the splines is probably having to do with size of the entire shaft diameter. If you got 28 teeth, the thickness of each spline is bigger than one with 32 teeth. I would choose the one with 28 because of strenth issuesPrimary rig is Green Thunder:
