the last item i have on my list of stuff fom the 10 year inspection is the right side bearing... but which one? I was thinking it was front because there are heavy vibrations around 120kmh... but then again no loud grind... On my trip to the parts store i found out that there are front and rear inner and outer... that leaves me with 4 choices...
My question is how do i figure out which one they were refering to?
What do you mean, 10 year inspection? Call up whoever you had do this inspection and ask them what the hell they were talking about. There is an inner and an outer wheel bearing on each side. If any wheel bearings are bad, replace them all.
"Rear tie-rods," that's a good one. That sucks that you have to get an inspection to get insurance. I live in Washington State and I don't have to get any sort of inspections, I can do whatever I want to my truck and big brother won't be the wiser!
I would just replace all the wheel bearings. Buy a bearing packer (<$5) so you can get them good and full of grease. Buy any seals you may need from Ford.
