Hi all. A buddy of mine has found that the noise that was coming from the rear of his 2001 f350 was a brocken leaf spring. Just about 4 in, forward of the rear axle. It's the 4th leaf from the top (I think). Now my question is can we replace just the brocken single leaf or do we have to replace the whole set of leaf springs on one or both sides? Any help or suggestion is appeciated.

 

I had one break on mine and I bought a spring pack for one side from the dealer.It was about $190. I just changed the one side and it sets level with no other issues. .

 

Probably just as easy to replace the whole spring pack,but you can replace only the broken leaf as well.

 

i got a superlift 6" lift on mine. am currently replacing both side and new u bolts right now. cost about a grand for everything inculding labor....BLAH
