I just bought a '02 F150 XL longbed, but am less than thrilled with the bench seat in front. Was wondering how much trouble it would be to replace with bucket seats out of an XLT (no electical)with the center console. I'm guessing it should be simple from similar year of F150.
My 97 XL originally had the bench seat,at some point the previous owner put in Lariat captains Chairs, and the matching center console. These were worn out when I got the truck(but Damn comfortable)...I found a 60/40 Bench seat and swapped it back.Bottom line here is if you can find seats out of the same year model it should be "plug and play".I was originally concerned about the mounting holes lining up,but after stripping out the buckets, and floor mat(XL had rubber mats only) I was amazed to find the additional holes needed for a direct bolt in.
