Alright, here is my dilema, I will be running 38's next spring, right now I'm running my mighty 5.4 with 3.73 and with 35" and it's "acceptable".
I would love to go with 4.56 but my problem is that for 6 months out of the year, I run my stock 235/85/16s (31's) on the street (winter).
So I'm wondering how the 4.30's would do with the 38's ?
I can sit here all day and read the rpm charts, but paper and real life are two different things.
Anyhow tell me what tire and gears you guys run and how you like the set up.
I travel mostly flats , don't come across to many mountains here in WNY.

I think I would rather be a bit over geared for the 31's and be "good" for the 38's.
Can't have a big truck, that can't get out of it's own way!!
Leaning towards the 4.30's at this point.
