There is four wires right above the E brake pedal i think they are orange with a strip just connect whatever you want to hook up to one of those wires and your good to go ill check on wire color for sure tomorrow.
These are called "upfitter switches". Like firefighter33 said there are 4 wires above the e-brake pedal. The easiest way to access them is to remove the 4 screws (10 mm socket) that secure the under dash fuse block, then pull the fuse block away & down out of the way. The wires should be bundled together in front of you. The ends of the wires will have a black plastic coating on them from the factory unless they have been used by the previous owner. The colors are as follows: Switch #1-orange/light green stripe (30 amp); Switch #2-orange (30 amp); Switch #3-orange/yellow stripe (10 amp); Switch #4-orange/light blue stripe (10 amp). Just connect your accessory power wire to which ever switch you want to use. There also are 4 solid colored wires in the same area. These are the "pass through" wires that go through the fire wall to make it easier to wire exterior accessories. These wires are colored white; dark blue; black; & red. You can get more information by going to this site: www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas & click on the body builders layout book.
I also forgot to mention that the pass through wires are located on the firewall in the engine compartment on the driver's side near the top of the firewall.
Thank you very much for the help, i found them right away. I am a bit overwhelmed right now as this is my first diesel and there is so much to learn. Again, Thanks for the quick and accurate help.
Any time. I have found that this is a great site to find information about almost anything you want to know about your Ford truck. If you can't find something already posted, just ask & someone usually will have an answer. I bought my first super duty diesel last August & I love it! Just take care of it & it will take care of you. Good luck & enjoy!
